Salvation

The Bible teaches that we are all sinners and have fallen short of God’s glory (Rom. 3:23). Without a solution to the sin that separates us from a holy God, man is destined to be forever separated in hell (Rom. 6:23). We are taught that Jesus is the way to the Father (John 14:6) and that there is no other way to be saved, except through Jesus who said that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16). He went on to say that those who receive Him, have life and those who don’t receive Him will face eternal death (John 3:18,36). This is really important, because the Bible teaches that we cannot save ourselves by doing good or keeping the law (Eph. 2:8,9). The Bible teaches that there is no other name through which we must be saved but Jesus’ name (Acts 4:12) and that He is the only one who mediates between a holy God and sinful man (1 Tim. 2:5).

Jesus also taught the value of one person’s soul was more important than all the riches of the world (Mark 8:36). As you read this, know that your eternal destiny should be more important to you than anything. With a repentant heart, we each have the responsibility to trust in Christ’s death and resurrection as personal payment for our sin (Rom. 10:9). Simply put, you must not refuse to come to Christ (John 5:40).
