At Calvary Independent Church we firmly believe in the Lord’s commission to “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations.” We do this through our own ministry here in Harrisburg as well as by sending and supporting missionaries into many places around the world.
Something that is unique about our church is that the first Sunday of every month is a day with special missions’ emphasis. One of the members of the Missions Committee shares “News from the Field” to highlight what God is doing at home and abroad. Also, all offerings from this day are dedicated to missions.
We also have a Ladies' Missionary Guild which meets monthly to work on missions-related projects and to help support our missionaries. The Missionary Guild usually meets on a Thursday at 10am. Ladies are encouraged to bring their own lunches as they share the meal time together as part of their fellowship. See the Church Calendar for announcements of the next meeting.
