Membership
The Bible tells us to assemble together for worship (Heb. 10:25) and so it is always exciting to see people desire to be a part of what God is doing at Calvary Independent Church. As Jesus builds His church throughout the world through people just like you, He calls us all to glorify Him through worship, service and spiritual growth, together.
If you feel God leading you to join this church, we’d love to know. We’ll schedule a convenient time for you to share about what God has done in your life. This is a wonderful time for you to get answers to any of your questions as well as for us to appreciate how God has brought you to salvation. As Christians, we desire to know the Bible and to follow it. So, if you haven’t already experienced Believer’s Baptism, we’ll gladly help you with that next step of faith.
Membership opens the opportunity to serve in various capacities within this church, affords voting privileges, communicates one’s desire to be shepherded by the church leadership and committed to the ideals of our church covenant.

Church Covenant
Being that we are of those who have been redeemed unto God by grace through faith in the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ, and having confessed our faith before the elders of this church, we do now in the presence of God and this assembly, agree to enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ.
We confirm our purpose to glorify God by being Christians who will seek Him continually, serve Him faithfully and share Him courageously. And accepting the Holy Scriptures as our basis for faith and practice, we desire to live according to its teachings.
Therefore, we solemnly and joyfully affirm our covenant with each other.
We will work and pray for the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
We will walk together in love for one another, as becomes the members of a Christian fellowship; exercising care and watchfulness over each other and faithfully admonishing and entreating one another as occasion may require.
We will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, making every reasonable effort to attend all church meetings on Sundays (witnessing the baptismal services and participating in the Lord’s table). Attending the annual business meeting, and faithfully meeting commitments to other ministry and committee obligations.
We will seek, by God’s Grace, to live carefully in this world, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, and remembering that, as we have been voluntarily buried in baptism and raised again from the symbolic grave, so there is on us a special obligation now to lead a new and holy life.
We will work together faithfully in support of this local church as we sustain its worship, ordinances, purpose, disciplines and doctrines. We will contribute cheerfully and regularly to the financial needs of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the needy and the spread of the gospel throughout the world.
We will, if we should move from this place, unite with another Church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
